Delivery & Shipping Policy

At EMR Storage Solutions Limited, we aim to make the delivery of containers and scaffolding equipment as straightforward and reliable as possible.

This Delivery & Shipping Policy explains where we deliver, how delivery charges are calculated, our standard order processing and delivery times, and what customers can expect before, during and after delivery.

1. Delivery Area

We currently deliver throughout the Republic of Ireland.

Before placing an order, customers should ensure that the delivery address and site are suitable for the safe delivery and unloading of the products ordered.

If you are unsure whether your location or site is suitable for delivery, please contact us before placing your order.

Email: contact@emrcontainersolutions.com

2. Delivery Charges

Delivery charges start from €169.

The final delivery charge may vary depending on several factors, including:

  • the type and size of the product;
  • the quantity ordered;
  • the delivery location;
  • access to the delivery site;
  • unloading requirements;
  • and specific requirements associated with the order.

The applicable delivery charge will be communicated to the customer before the order is completed.

Where a specific delivery charge is displayed during checkout, that charge will apply to the order unless otherwise agreed.

Delivery charges are additional to the product price unless the product or order expressly states that delivery is included.

3. Order Processing Time

Our standard order processing time is 1–3 working days.

Orders are processed Monday to Friday.

Our standard order cut-off time is 14:00.

Orders placed before 14:00 on a working day will enter our normal processing schedule for that day.

Orders placed after 14:00, or on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, will be processed from the next applicable working day.

Order processing includes the time required to confirm the order, prepare the products and arrange the appropriate delivery service.

Certain large, complex or specially arranged orders may require additional preparation time. Where this applies, we will communicate the applicable timeframe to the customer.

4. Standard Delivery Time

Once an order has been processed and is ready for dispatch, our standard transit time is 3–7 working days.

Standard deliveries are made Monday to Saturday.

Based on our standard processing and transit times, the estimated total delivery timeframe is therefore:

4–10 working days

This is an estimated delivery timeframe, not a guaranteed delivery date.

The actual delivery time may vary depending on product availability, order size, delivery location, access conditions, transport arrangements and other circumstances affecting the delivery.

For larger or special orders, a specific delivery timeframe may be communicated separately before or after the order is confirmed.

5. Order Cut-Off Time

Our standard order cut-off time is 14:00 Monday to Friday.

Orders received after 14:00 will be treated as received on the next applicable working day for processing purposes.

Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays will begin processing on the next applicable working day.

The order cut-off time applies to standard order processing and does not constitute a guarantee that a product will be dispatched on the same day.

6. Container Delivery

Container deliveries are arranged according to the type and size of container ordered and the conditions at the delivery location.

Container deliveries include on-site unloading.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery site is reasonably accessible and suitable for the delivery vehicle and unloading operation.

Before delivery, customers should consider:

  • access roads and entrances;
  • sufficient space for the delivery vehicle;
  • overhead clearance;
  • ground conditions;
  • gates and access restrictions;
  • nearby buildings, walls, trees or other obstacles;
  • and the intended position of the container.

Customers should inform EMR in advance of any unusual access or unloading requirements.

Where the delivery location presents restrictions that may affect safe delivery or unloading, we may need to arrange an alternative delivery method or date.

7. Scaffolding Delivery

Scaffolding products and components are delivered to the address specified during the ordering process.

Delivery arrangements may vary depending on the size, weight and quantity of the order.

Where delivery and unloading are included, the goods will be delivered to a suitable and reasonably accessible location at the delivery address.

Delivery does not include installation, assembly or erection of scaffolding unless this has been expressly agreed with EMR in writing.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is suitable for receiving the goods.

8. Delivery and On-Site Unloading

Where delivery is arranged by EMR, we will make reasonable efforts to deliver the products to the agreed delivery location.

For both containers and scaffolding, customers must ensure that suitable access is available for the delivery vehicle and that the delivery area is reasonably suitable.

For container deliveries, unloading at the delivery site is included.

For scaffolding deliveries, unloading arrangements will depend on the nature and size of the order and will be communicated where applicable.

If specific unloading requirements apply, customers should contact EMR before placing the order.

9. Delivery Site Access

The customer is responsible for providing accurate delivery information and notifying EMR of any known site restrictions that may affect delivery.

This may include:

  • narrow roads or entrances;
  • restricted access;
  • low bridges or overhead obstructions;
  • weight restrictions;
  • steep or unsuitable access roads;
  • restricted delivery hours;
  • difficult or unsuitable ground conditions;
  • or other site-specific limitations.

If the delivery vehicle cannot safely access the site or the goods cannot reasonably be unloaded because of conditions that were not disclosed in advance, the delivery may need to be rearranged.

Where additional costs arise as a direct result of undisclosed access or site restrictions, we will communicate these to the customer before they are incurred where reasonably possible.

10. Large, Multiple or Special Orders

Large orders, multiple containers, substantial scaffolding orders or orders requiring special transport arrangements may require additional preparation or delivery time.

Such orders may be delivered in stages or using more than one vehicle.

Where a different timeframe applies, EMR will communicate the applicable delivery arrangements to the customer.

The standard 1–3 working day processing time and 3–7 working day transit time should therefore not be assumed for orders where a specific timeframe has been agreed separately.

11. Delivery Confirmation and Inspection

The customer, or a person authorised by the customer, should be available to receive the delivery unless another arrangement has been agreed in advance.

Customers should inspect the products as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery.

Where visible damage, missing items or an apparent discrepancy is identified, customers should notify EMR as soon as possible and, where appropriate, provide photographs showing the condition of the goods at delivery.

Customers should provide:

  • their order number;
  • details of the issue;
  • photographs where relevant;
  • and any other information reasonably required to investigate the matter.

This inspection process does not limit or remove any statutory rights relating to faulty, damaged or non-conforming goods.

12. Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Goods

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete or different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a suitable remedy in accordance with applicable law and our Returns & Refunds Policy.

For consumer purchases, EMR remains responsible for the goods until the consumer or a person nominated by them takes physical possession of the goods, subject to applicable law.

13. Delayed Delivery

We make reasonable efforts to meet our estimated delivery timeframes.

If a delivery is significantly delayed, we will make reasonable efforts to inform the customer and, where possible, provide an updated delivery timeframe.

For consumer purchases, statutory rights apply where goods are not delivered within the agreed timeframe or, where no timeframe has been agreed, within the applicable statutory period.

Where the legal conditions for cancellation due to non-delivery are met, the customer may have the right to terminate the contract and receive a refund.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any statutory consumer rights.

14. Delivery to Commercial and Construction Sites

Where products are delivered to a commercial premises, construction site or other operational location, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the site is ready to receive the delivery.

The customer should ensure that:

  • appropriate access is available;
  • authorised personnel are available where required;
  • any necessary site permissions have been obtained;
  • the unloading area is suitable;
  • and relevant site-specific requirements have been communicated to EMR in advance.

EMR may postpone or refuse a delivery where proceeding would create an unreasonable or unsafe situation.

15. Delivery Costs and Additional Charges

The standard delivery charge starts from €169.

Where the actual delivery requirements mean that the cost differs from the standard starting charge, the applicable amount will be communicated to the customer before the order is completed.

We will not knowingly apply an additional delivery charge without informing the customer where that charge results from specific delivery requirements.

16. Public Holidays and Exceptional Circumstances

Processing and delivery times are expressed in working days.

Public holidays, severe weather, road restrictions, transport disruption, supplier delays and other circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect the estimated delivery timeframe.

Where such circumstances materially affect an order, we will make reasonable efforts to inform the customer and provide an updated timeframe.

17. Consumer Delivery Rights

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any statutory rights available to consumers under Irish law.

Where a consumer purchase is concerned, EMR will comply with applicable Irish consumer protection legislation.

Where no specific delivery date or period has been agreed, Irish consumer law generally requires goods to be delivered without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is entered into, subject to applicable circumstances and exceptions.

Where a specific delivery timeframe has been agreed, that timeframe will apply subject to the customer’s statutory rights.
